FarmVille Crop Mastery Trivia: Saffron was once the most expensive spice in the world, by weight. While mainly grown in equatorial Eurasia, it is also grown in Pennsylvania.
Original Release
Saffron is a limited edition seed on FarmVille, which was released on April 13th during the Far East Event. In Farmville, Saffron costing 190 coins can be planted after being level 32 and takes 10 hours to grow,gives 1 XP when planted and provides a harvest of 333 coins. Like most limited-edition crops, Saffron cannot be mastered.
