It was originally released on the April 30, 2012 a uncommon prize of the 
Mystery Game 100.
It was re-released on April 29th, 2013 as uncommon reward in Mystery Game 151.
Nursery Barn

The Quagga Foal can be stored in the Nursery Barn. The Nursery Barn can be harvested every 1 day. Each time the Nursery Barn is harvested, in addition to currency, there is a chance that the Quagga Foal contained within will transform into the Quagga.

The Quagga can be stored in the Extinct Animal Zoo. The Extinct Animal Zoo can be harvested every 12 hours. When harvesting an Extinct Animal Zoo containing at least 1 Quagga, there is a chance to find Fossils
Horse Paddock

The Quagga can be stored in the Horse Paddock. The Horse Paddock can be harvested every 1 day. When harvesting the Horse Paddock containing at least one Quagga, in addition to currency, it is possible to find the Quagga foal or Animal Feed.
Horse Stable[]

The Quagga can be stored in the Horse Stable. A Horse Stable can be harvested once every day. When harvesting a Horse Stable containing at least one Quagga, players have a chance to find one Quagga Foal*, Arborist, Farmhand, or 
100 experience. Farmhands, Arborists, and experience go directly to the player's gift box. However, the Quagga Foal may only be shared to the player's wall, where it may be adopted by the player's friends.
Note:
- Zynga considers the Quagga a stallion.Stallions do not require the presence of any other horses in the Horse Stable in order to produce a foal.
