It was originally released as a limited edition seed, as part of the Lunar New Year Event and a second time as part of the Far East Event.

It was available at level 30 and took 8 hours to grow, giving the farmer 
2 experience for each. They cost 
160 coins to plant and can be sold for 250 coins.
It was re-released as permanent crop on the Jade Falls Farm in July 2012. It requires Zen Level 
to unlock. Lotus now cost 
140 jade and could be harvested for 52 coins and 178 jade. It yielded 1 experience when planted.
Mastery[]
In its previous releases, Lotus was not a master-able crop. Crop mastery was made available when Lotus was released for the Jade Falls Farm.
