- February 28, 2012: Initial release for farmers who purchased early access to Hawaiian Paradise (farm)
It was available for 27 days from the February 28, 2012. Players needed to pay 5 cash to get a permit to grow this seed. It could only be planted in ground plots on the Hawaiian Paradise farm. It cost 50 coins and could be harvested for 155 coins and 8 coconuts. It yielded 2 experience when planted.
It was re-released from June 8, 2012 to July 6, 2012.

The very first Bamboo Orchid a farmer harvests counts towards Green Thumb. Planting Bamboo Orchid (as well as plowing the land for them) counts towards A Pretty Penny.
