Animal

Animals are as much a part of farming as growing crops. They come in many sizes and do not wither like crops do. Their sizes are measured in squares of 1/16th of a crop plot. Generally they are on a square base and can be rotated and are 1 square or 4 squares but a few hefty creatures, like the elephant, are 9 squares. These creatures vary in harvest time, ranging from 1 to 4 days, after which the farmer is able to gather their produce or transform them to an older version of their species. If a farmer packs their animals like sardines in a can then those animals that earn more than 20 per square in a day are better income than the best mastered crop. More humane farmers will need to choose animals that earn more than 25 per square or build coops and stables to improve the animals income potential. Of course, experience can only be earned through market purchases off of that income. Animals can be purchased in the Market, be received as gifts or be adopted. Animals are never slaughtered, rather products relating to the animal are collected (for example, milk from cows, down feathers from ducks).

Lost Animals

Unique to FarmVille, lost animals often find their way to a farm. A farmer will have the option of either helping lost animals or sending them away.If a farmer decides to help a lost animal, their neighbors will have the option to adopt the animal and have them on their farm.

Animal Decorations

Some decorations look like animals; however, because they cannot be harvested, they cannot be called animals. Animal decorations are often given animations.
